1. About these terms

1.1 What these terms cover

These Lab Partner Programme Terms and Conditions (“Lab Partner Terms”) govern your participation in the Ticketlab Lab Partner programme (“Programme”), under which you may earn commission for referring ticket buyers to Ticketlab.

1.2 Who we are

The Programme is operated by Ticketlab Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10817668) with registered office at 72 Fleeming Road, London, E17 5ES.

1.3 Other terms that apply

By enrolling in or participating in the Programme, you also agree to comply with:

Event Organiser Terms & ConditionsIf you use Ticketlab as an event organiser
Privacy PolicyAlways
Acceptable Use PolicyAlways

If there is a conflict between these Lab Partner Terms and the General Terms on a matter specific to the Programme, these Lab Partner Terms prevail for that matter only.

1.4 Acceptance

You accept these Lab Partner Terms when you:

  • tick the acceptance box and submit enrollment; or
  • use your referral code or referral links after enrollment; or
  • otherwise continue to participate in the Programme after we notify you of updated terms.

If you do not agree, you must not enroll and must stop using referral links and your referral code.

1.5 Changes

We may update these Lab Partner Terms at any time by publishing a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be notified by email or in your Ticketlab account where practicable. Continued participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to changes, you must withdraw from the Programme.

3. Nature of our relationship

3.1 Independent contractor

You participate as an independent contractor. Nothing in these Lab Partner Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, employment, or franchise relationship. You have no authority to bind Ticketlab.

3.2 No guarantee of earnings

We do not guarantee any level of traffic, conversions, Commission, or income. The Programme is provided on an “as available” basis.

3.3 Your own business

You are solely responsible for your promotional activities, content, costs, and compliance with laws and industry codes applicable to you.

4. Programme overview

4.1 What the Programme is

The Programme allows you to share referral links to Ticketlab pages. When a ticket buyer makes a Qualifying sale within the Attribution window, you may earn Commission as described below.

4.2 What the Programme is not

The Programme does not:

  • allow you to set ticket prices, fees, or refunds;
  • give you access to customer payment card data;
  • guarantee placement, promotion, or endorsement by Ticketlab;
  • permit commission on your own events (see clause 7.5).

4.3 Free to join

There is no fee to join the Programme unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Eligibility and enrollment

5.1 Who may join

You may enroll if you:

  • are at least 18 years old;
  • have a valid Ticketlab account (or are onboarded by us as an approved external publisher);
  • are legally able to enter binding contracts in your jurisdiction;
  • are not prohibited from participating by law, sanctions, or our Acceptable Use Policy.

5.2 Enrollment

Self-serve enrollment is via Settings → Lab Partner (or equivalent). You must provide accurate information and accept these Lab Partner Terms. Enrollment is normally immediate; we may approve, defer, or reject applications at our discretion.

5.3 One account per partner

Unless we agree in writing, each person or entity may hold one Lab Partner account per Programme. You must not create duplicate accounts to circumvent rules or limits.

5.4 Verification

We may request identity, tax, or business information before enrollment or payout. Failure to provide satisfactory information may result in suspension or withholding of Commission.

5.5 External publishers

If we create a partner record for you before you have a Ticketlab account, payouts remain blocked until your account is linked and payout prerequisites in clause 8 are met.

6. Commission

6.1 Standard rate

Unless we agree a different rate in writing, Commission is 30% of Ticketlab net revenue on each ticket in a Qualifying sale.

Example (illustrative only):
If Ticketlab net revenue on a ticket is £0.40, Commission is £0.12. Commission is not calculated on ticket face value.

6.2 Variation

We may set different rates for specific partners, campaigns, or periods. Your applicable rate is shown in your account or partner record. We may change the default rate for new Qualifying sales on reasonable notice; changes do not retroactively alter Commission already accrued on completed sales unless required by law or clause 9.3.

6.3 Currency

Commission is calculated and displayed in GBP unless we state otherwise.

6.4 Rounding

Amounts are rounded to two decimal places using standard half-up rounding.

6.5 No commission on excluded sales

Commission is not earned on sales that are not Qualifying sales, including those excluded under clauses 7 and 9.

7. Referral links, tracking, and attribution

7.1 Referral links

You may use referral links in the format we provide, typically by appending ?ref={your-referral-code} to Ticketlab URLs. You are responsible for using the correct code and link format.

7.2 Attribution technology

We use cookies and similar technologies (including the tl_ref cookie) to attribute sales. Our Cookie Policy explains how these work. By participating, you acknowledge that attribution depends on browser/device settings and may not be perfect.

7.3 Attribution window

A sale is attributable if the buyer completes checkout within 30 days of clicking your valid referral link, unless a different window is shown in your account.

7.4 Last-click attribution

If a buyer clicks multiple valid referral links within the Attribution window, the most recent valid referral code before purchase is credited (“last-click wins”).

7.5 Self-referral

You do not earn Commission on ticket sales for events you organise on Ticketlab, or where you are the beneficial owner or controller of the organising account, even if you use your referral link.

7.6 Invalid or paused codes

If your code is invalid, paused, archived, or your account is suspended, clicks do not earn Commission. Invalid codes must not overwrite a valid existing attribution cookie.

7.7 Our records are decisive

Our tracking systems and records are used to calculate Commission. While we aim for accuracy, our determination of attribution, eligibility, and Commission is final, subject to clause 18 (complaints).

7.8 No manual adjustments by you

You must not attempt to manipulate cookies, checkout flows, tracking parameters, or attribution logic.

8. Payouts

8.1 Accrual

Commission on Qualifying sales is accrued when payment succeeds and tickets are issued, subject to later adjustment for refunds (clause 9).

8.2 Payout method

Commission is paid by manual bank transfer to the bank account you provide in Ticketlab Settings (Payments), unless we agree another method in writing. Stripe Connect organiser payouts do not apply to Lab Partner Commission.

8.3 Prerequisites

Before we pay you, you must:

  • remain an active Lab Partner;
  • have a linked Ticketlab user account;
  • provide valid UK or approved bank details;
  • meet any minimum payout threshold (default £10.00 accrued Commission per payout period, configurable by us);
  • satisfy verification requirements in clause 5.4.

8.4 Payout schedule

Payouts are made on a schedule we determine (e.g. monthly) after we issue a payout statement or invoice. We are not obliged to pay more frequently than stated in your account or communications.

8.5 Statements

We may issue email/PDF statements showing Commission included in a payout. You should retain these for your records.

8.6 Incorrect bank details

You are responsible for keeping bank details accurate. We are not liable for delays or losses caused by incorrect details you supplied.

8.7 Withholding

We may withhold or offset Commission where we reasonably believe there is fraud, error, chargeback risk, breach of these terms, or a legal obligation to withhold.

8.8 Unclaimed Commission

If we cannot pay you for 12 months after Commission becomes payable (e.g. missing bank details or no response), we may forfeit the unpaid balance, after reasonable notice.

9. Refunds, cancellations, and adjustments

9.1 Refunded or cancelled tickets

If a referred ticket is refunded (full or partial) or an event is cancelled before payout, related accrued Commission is voided or adjusted proportionally.

9.2 After payout

If a refund occurs after we have paid Commission, we may claw back the overpaid amount from future Commission or require repayment within 30 days of notice, to the extent permitted by law.

9.3 Errors

We may correct manifest errors in Commission calculations, statements, or payouts.

9.4 Chargebacks and fraud

We do not pay Commission on transactions we determine to be fraudulent, unlawful, or reversed by payment providers.

10. Promotional standards and UK advertising rules

10.1 Honest promotion

You must promote Ticketlab and events truthfully, fairly, and without misleading consumers. You must not make guarantees about availability, pricing, or event quality unless you have verified them at the time of publication.

10.2 Disclosure (ASA / CAP Code)

If you promote Ticketlab or events in the UK in exchange for Commission (or other benefit), you must make clear, prominent disclosures that your content is advertising or that you may earn Commission — for example:

  • “Ad”“Advertisement feature”, or “Paid partnership with Ticketlab”; or
  • a clear statement such as “I may earn commission if you buy tickets through my links.”

Disclosures must comply with the UK CAP Code and ASA guidance, including on social media, email newsletters, blogs, podcasts, and video. You are responsible for compliance; we may provide guidance but do not provide legal advice on your campaigns.

10.3 No false endorsement

You must not state or imply that Ticketlab endorses you, your publication, or any specific event unless we agree in writing.

10.4 Branding

Use of Ticketlab logos and brand assets requires our prior written approval, except for standard referral links and factual references permitted under clause 14.

10.5 Spam and unsolicited communications

You must comply with PECR, UK GDPR, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations for email, SMS, and direct marketing. You must not send unsolicited bulk messages using Ticketlab data or referral links.

10.6 Prohibited promotion

You must not promote Ticketlab or events via:

Prohibited activityExamples

12.2 Customer data

You must not access or use Ticketlab customer personal data except as we expressly permit. You must not scrape customer lists from Ticketlab.

12.3 Your own audience

If you collect data from your audience (e.g. newsletter subscribers), you are the data controller for that processing and must have a lawful basis and appropriate privacy notices.

13. Intellectual property

13.1 Ticketlab IP

Ticketlab names, logos, software, and content remain our property or our licensors’. These Lab Partner Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use approved referral links and brand assets solely to participate in the Programme.

13.2 Your content

You retain ownership of your original promotional content. You grant us a licence to use your name, likeness, and content only where you have given explicit permission (e.g. case studies) or as required to operate the Programme.

13.3 Feedback

If you submit suggestions about the Programme, we may use them without obligation or payment.

14. Confidentiality

You must not misuse confidential information about Ticketlab’s systems, fee structures, unreleased features, or other partners. Commission rates and Programme mechanics shown in your account are not confidential unless marked otherwise.

15. Suspension and termination

15.1 By you

You may stop participating at any time by ceasing use of referral links and requesting account closure at support@ticketlab.co.uk. Accrued Commission payable under clause 8 will be handled per these terms; forfeiture may apply under clauses 8.8 and 9.

15.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your participation immediately if we reasonably believe you have:

  • breached these Lab Partner Terms or other applicable Ticketlab terms;
  • engaged in fraud, abuse, or prohibited promotion;
  • harmed Ticketlab’s reputation or exposed us to legal or regulatory risk;
  • become insolvent or subject to sanctions.

15.3 Effect of termination

On termination:

  • your referral code is deactivated;
  • no further Commission accrues after termination (except on Qualifying sales already in progress at termination, at our discretion);
  • clauses that by nature should survive (payment, tax, liability, governing law) continue.

15.4 Paused status

We may pause your account for review without terminating. While paused, your code does not earn new Commission.

16. Liability

16.1 Our liability

Nothing in these Lab Partner Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

16.2 Business users

If you participate in trade, business, or profession, to the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties and shall not be liable for:

  • loss of profits, revenue, business, or anticipated savings;
  • loss of goodwill or reputation;
  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • loss arising from tracking failures, cookie blocking, or third-party platforms.

Our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period arising from the Programme shall not exceed the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the Commission actually paid to you in that period.

16.3 Consumer organisers

If you are a consumer (not acting in trade), nothing in clause 16.2 affects your statutory rights. Our site is provided for domestic and private use where applicable; commercial promotion may affect remedies available to you under the General Terms.

16.4 Your liability

You indemnify us against losses, claims, fines, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, unlawful promotion, or infringement of third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach.
