Ticketlab doesn’t currently use traditional promo/discount code fields.
To offer discounted pricing, use event cloning and the new Visibility & access controls.
Offer discounted tickets using cloned events
1) Clone your existing event
From your organiser dashboard, find the event and choose Clone.
This opens a new event with the original details pre-filled.
2) Update the cloned event pricing
In the cloned event, open Ticket price and set the new price (for example, change £20 to £15).
You can also update the Event name so buyers can clearly tell which ticket type it is (for example, “Early Bird” or “Member Rate”).
3) Control who can find and buy that ticket
Use Visibility & access in the event editor:
- Event status: set to On sale or Off sale
- Mark event as private: hides it from search and listings
- Password protect this event: requires a password before purchase
- Event password: set the password you’ll share with eligible buyers
- Optional quick toggle: Set draft mode on (off sale + private) / Set to live (on sale + public)
This gives you flexible control without exposing all pricing publicly.
Common ways to use this
- Early bird: Clone the event, lower the price, set it private, and share the direct link with early subscribers.
- Group discount: Clone with group pricing and share privately with the organiser.
- Member-only pricing: Clone, enable password protection, and share the password with members.
- Short-term promo: Clone for limited dates, then switch to Off sale when the offer ends.
Important note
Marking an event as private reduces discoverability, but it is not the same as hard access control.
If you need strict access, also enable Password protect this event.
